THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE BRAND

TEAM

Chronoswiss is a family-owned maison where teamwork is more than a structure, it is a mindset. Our independence lets us focus on what truly matters: Craft, innovation and the people behind it. From design to engineering to our Atelier Lucerne, every watch passes through the hands of specialists who contribute their passion and precision. As a family business, we build long-term rather than short-term. We nurture talent, trust each other and work toward one goal: Creating timepieces that carry the spirit of Modern Mechanical into the future.

OWNER AND DIRECTOR

Oliver Ebstein

Since taking over Chronoswiss in 2012, Oliver Ebstein has shaped the brand with a clear vision: to bring mechanical watchmaking into the modern era while preserving its legacy. As a passionate entrepreneur and lover of precision mechanics, he sees watches not merely as products, but as expressions of craftsmanship, character, and independence. He leads the team with trust and conviction. “Hire great people, and let them be great,” he says - a philosophy that defines the spirit of the Chronoswiss Atelier. Under his leadership, the Lucerne-based brand has become a hub for innovation and artisan excellence, from in-house Guilloché and enameling to bold new complications. When he’s not driving the next chapter of Chronoswiss, you’ll likely find him traveling the world with his family - or in his garage, always building something by hand.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Azmayeen Ahsan

Since Azmayeen found his passion in horology, he began appreciating the complications and engineering of watches. While he is completing his bachelor's degree in HSLU, he has the opportunity to get an insight of Chronoswiss, where he gets to experience the fusion of modern arts with fine craftsmanship. He believes that watches remain with us forever; hence, it holds more than just a monetary value.

DIRECT SALES

Pawel Bohacz

Pawel works in Global Direct Sales and believes that watchmaking is about people as much as it is about time. Being a watch collector for many years, he enjoys connecting with clients, listening to their stories, and sharing his passion for exceptional timepieces. Pawel is here to help you find the timepiece that truly belongs on your wrist. His natural curiosity extends beyond watches – he finds balance and inspiration in cycling, photography, and cars.

WATCHMAKING

Livia Bron

After completing her apprenticeship in Porrentruy, Livia discovered the diversity of tasks a watchmaker must perform and the precision they require. This experience allowed her to develop a true passion for watchmaking and craftsmanship. “Each day requires rigor and precision. Restoring watches so they can continue to function for generations to come is a true satisfaction for me. Every watch is a timeless piece of jewelry, an art that endures and evolves through generations.”

HEAD OF GLOBAL SALES

Christophe Chorao

After two decades in the watch industry working for larger brands, Christophe Chorao has a track record of being a trusted, convinced, passionate and professional sales manager who has created growth and opened many new boutiques around the world. Now he is very happy to bring his extensive knowledge to a new challenge. "Chronoswiss has definitely got a strong DNA – you immediately recognise the timepieces; they are really different. Add to this the fact that you can easily connect the innovative product identity with the spirit of a family-owned company," says the family-oriented gentleman based in Neuchâtel.

QUALITY CONTROL

Ute Espig

With the loupe wrapped around her head Ute scrutinizes the dials, cases, hands, bands and every visible miniscule part of every watch before it goes out into the world of watch aficionados and collectors. With a background in textiles she took her precision game to the next level six years ago when she started at Chronoswiss. Her widely known calm and patience are needed to spot mistakes – which are rare, but unavoidable. “We are all humans, things can slip by us – nobody is without fault.”

WATCHMAKING

Karin Gabriel

With 33 years as a watchmaker Karin builds new watches and prototypes and resolves technical problems. “A mechanical watch is not only beautiful, it is technically interesting and alive,” she says. Her dexterous fingers and concentrated gaze entail what you can only get with experience: She simply knows what spaces and tolerances are needed, how to make extremely precise adjustments and how to conduct a reality check on a new design before signing off for production. Being a perfectionist at heart helps, too.

HEAD OF GLOBAL SALES

Rocco Giudice

With a background in communications & marketing, Rocco expanded his skills into sales early on, proving that he has more strings to his bow. Not to mention his wanderlust! Rocco has explored the beauty of South-East Asia and even called Hong Kong home for a while. His creativity doesn’t stop there – he’s written a book that has been published in major French-speaking countries. But what really sets Rocco apart is his thirst for challenge and encounter: “Life is only as good as the people we meet”. He thrives on exploring new frontiers, speaking of which: “Chronoswiss is treading a unique path. Driven by an artisan core but combined with a progressive spirit, it also has the freedom of an independent watch brand.”

COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Selina Gosztola

Besides her studies in economics at the University of Lucerne, Selina is now deepening her theory-based knowledge from the lectures at Chronoswiss. "What impresses me about Chronoswiss are the extraordinary designs that enable a unique media presence. I am pleased that as a young student I can already gather working experience in a family business that not only prepares me for my professional future, but whose work deeply convinces me." As a balance between everyday study and practical implementation at Chronoswiss, she likes to ride her motorbike up various mountain passes or enjoy the days off with her family and friends.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Suzana Graorac

After 20 years at Chronoswiss, developing mainly the important montage of Chronoswiss bracelets, Suzana’s tasks expanded, and they now also include administrative work behind the scenes. Always up for learning something new and loving the mix between practical work with her hands and on the computer, she praises the atmosphere in the team. “That’s why I am still here after all these years: We are like a family – and I love the watches,” she says.

MENTOR

Patrik Hoffmann

After four decades in the industry, including six years as CEO of Ulysse Nardin, Patrik Hoffmann was supposed to retire in 2017. Now he does take the time to ski in the Swiss Alps or to tend olive trees on the Greek island of Mykonos, but his fascination for handmade mechanical watches made it impossible to stay completely away from the industry. “A truly independent company with great team spirit, hand guilloché, and contemporary polarizing designs – Chronoswiss is not like any other watch brand out there.”

OPERATIONS AND DIRECTOR

Samuel Hoffmann

With his valuable experience of 14 years in the international watch industry, Samuel enriches the company by realizing operational and strategic tasks to exceed long-term business goals. He has a deep understanding of cultural nuances and business dynamics. What particularly excites him about Chronoswiss is the harmonious interplay between human - the production of handcrafted design elements - and machine - the mechanical movements. His passion for technical precision and movement is also evident in his free time. Samuel particularly enjoys restoring old cars and riding his motorbike.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Dominique Kuckelkorn

Dominique has a real passion for excellent service. She believes that service is just as important as the watches themselves, and she approaches every detail with precision, reliability and a strong customer focus. Her dedication ensures that every interaction reflects the same excellence and care that goes into our watches. Outside of her work at Chronoswiss, Dominique enjoys discovering new cultures and finds inspiration in travelling, meeting people and playing sports.

ACCOUNTING

Reto Marbet

Born in Lucerne, Reto has been working in accounting for more than 15 years and has already gained valuable experience in several international companies. In addition to traditional accounting, he is passionate about process optimization and automation. "I check every day which processes can be improved and simplified. This is done with the focus on being able to provide all partners with high-quality information". His structured manner helps Reto to keep an overview and a cool head even in hectic times. As a balance to his work, he is often out and about in the Alps, be it mountain biking and hiking in the summer or snowboarding and cross-country skiing in the winter.

GUILLOCHÉ

Reto Marxer

Reto began his journey at Chronoswiss in sales - and quickly discovered his passion for the brand’s timepieces, especially the dials. With a natural talent for craftsmanship and an eye for aesthetics, he immersed himself in the art of guilloché and now masters the technique with confidence and precision. Whether working on the historic engine-turning machine, setting up displays, or behind the camera - Reto brings heart, skill, and dedication to everything he does. Versatile, reliable, and passionate - a true all-rounder with a clear focus on mechanical beauty.

HEAD OF DESIGN

Maik Panziera

Maik is not a watchmaker. But after almost four decades as a jeweller, dial maker and watch designer he sure knows how to design a timepiece from scratch. Fascinated by the watch industry’s combination of CNC and handwork, he brought Chronoswiss into its modern mechanical era with his three-dimensional designs and excellent artisanal skills in guilloché and enamelling. His casual jeans style hint at a rock ’n’ roll heart, which is also implied in his design philosophy: “At an independent company you can do beautiful things that you like – you are not run by marketing or numbers.”

PURCHASING AND PRODUCTION PLANNING

Saleem Rana

Saleem brings valuable logistics experience, with a strong grasp of processes and efficiency. His true passion, however, lies in purchasing – particularly in the watch industry, whose precision, craftsmanship, and timeless aesthetics have always inspired him. Dedicated to quality and sustainable supplier relationships, he combines attention to detail with a deep respect for the values behind each product. This drive motivates him daily to deliver the best for both companies and customers. Outside of work, Saleem enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Jolanta Rauchfuss

Jolanta has been with the brand for 30 years, thus she is a treasured encyclopedia for anything Chronoswiss. Take to heart her words of wisdom: "Service your watch at regular intervals. Because when you look after your watch, you will have a wonderful product that will live on for hundreds of years." Still amazed and enthusiastic about our watchmaking, she particularly loves the Ocean – both the Open Gear watch and the big blue, the latter preferably approached from an Italian beach.

HEAD OF COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Maximilian Schiefer

Maximilian is a pioneer of the social media world. After studying in Paris, he conquered the digital space and was one of the first to recognize the commercial potential of social networks. Since 2014 he has been shaping the digital pulse of companies around the globe and has developed a great passion for the world of watches through a wide variety of projects. With his many years of experience, creativity and enthusiasm for watches, he is leading Chronoswiss into a new and visionary chapter.

WATCHMAKING

Severin Schwegler

Severin became a watchmaker rhabilleur because he was fascinated by the micromechanics and technology of a watch. The filigree construction of a timepiece and bringing it to life is his passion. His skills in watch service range from the smallest ladies watches to meter-high tower clocks. Severin, who is a passionate swimmer and mountain climber in his spare time, has already utilized his skills for well-known corporations as well as innovative smaller companies. What he particularly likes about Chronoswiss are the hand-guilloched and enamelled dials. He appreciates the collegial team atmosphere and the opportunity to work in various work fields at Chronoswiss.

SALES ADMINISTRATION

Tanja Vogelsang

Since 2017, Tanja has been taking care of the administrative tasks in the internal sales department with a great deal of commitment and expertise. She supports her sales colleagues and is responsible for international shipping. With her enthusiastic manner, Tanja ensures smooth collaboration and first-class service. In her free time, she enjoys sporting activities such as training in the gym, cycling and hiking.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Dmitrij Weisslinde

Dmitrij has always been fascinated by precision customization and working in small series. Thanks to his experience in the goldsmith, watchmaking and fashion world, he enriches the brand with in-depth knowledge of traditional techniques such as guilloche and enameling. He learnt his craft during his training as a goldsmith. Creating something that is timeless and can be passed down through generations fills Dmitrij with great pride. In addition to his passion for watches and design, he also lives out his creativity by playing guitar in his band.

HEAD OF DIRECT SALES

Beat Weinmann

After 25 years in the industry, Beat knows both how to sell a watch and how to manufacture one. With "reachable and personal" as his mantra, he patiently guides clients and partners to find the right models while building long-term relationships. When not in the office, you will find Beat cycling or running up near vertical mountain passes or swimming through Switzerland’s scenic lakes.

WATCHMAKING

Silvan Wismer

Silvan is a trained watchmaker and found his passion for precision and perfect craftsmanship during his training in watchmaking. He is particularly fascinated by the fine work that goes into every detail and the timeless beauty of high-quality timepieces. The artistic design and attention to detail at Chronoswiss inspire him in his job all over again. In his free time, Silvan finds balance in playing tennis and riding his motorbike.
